Marie Palmer is in her 19th year of teaching secondary vocal music in Indiana.
Currently, she is the 5-8 grade Choral Director at Zionsville Middle School.
She has been honored to direct the IMEA All State Middle School Honor Choir
in 2001 and 2003 and has been a guest conductor for several Circle the State
With Song festivals and many other festivals throughout the state. Marie frequently
serves as a judge and clinician and has presented interest sessions and reading
sessions for ISSMA, IMEA, and ACDA events. Her choirs have been invited to
sing at the state and division conventions for both IMEA/MENC and ICDA/ACDA
as well as with the Indianapolis Symphonic Choir, and Encore Vocal Arts.
Mrs. Palmer is the past president of the Indiana Choral Directors Association and the current Middle School Repertoire and Standards Chair for the Central Division of the American Choral Directors Association.
Marie Palmer holds her BS in Music Ed from Taylor University, her MM in Music Ed from Ball State University, and is currently working toward her DMA in Music Ed from Boston University.
